Altdorf, the heart of the Empire, serves as its capital city. It is the home of Emperor Karl Franz, and emissaries from across the Old World can be found conducting negotiations within the halls of his palace. In the Age of Reckoning, Altdorf continues to offer hope to the citizens of the Empire. So long as the city stands, the forces of Destruction can never claim total victory.

Overview

Altdorf is the capital of the Empire, and has been for many generations. The empire is by far the strongest of the remaining human nations, and its capital is the greatest bastion of human power and influence in the world.

Set against a bleak past and an uncertain future, mankind fights desperately to preserve their nation's way of life against the unrelenting forces of chaos. In the midst of this conflict, Altdorf is one of the few places citizens of the empire can rest assured that they are safe.

Within this great city sits the heart and soul of many of the empires organizations. Of greatest notice is the Great Temple of Sigmar as well as the Emperor's Palace awaits within its imposing fortifications. Another landmark of great note is one of the greatest resources for wizardly knowledge, the Bright Wizard College, sits tucked away behind the throngs of soldiers who protect the jewel of the empire.
