- The only real solution to a Bright Wizard's deadly power is their death, and even this may not save you if they've had time to do their work. Their magic lingers and burns, so you must be prepared to withstand not only their powerful direct assault, but the after-effects of your battle with them. Resistance to their spells is a key component in limiting their ability to destroy you outright, but offensive power is equally important for putting them to a quick end. Against a Bright Wizard, it will be a race to see who can kill who first. It is a race for which they are well-equipped, and their tools make them more and more potent the longer that race goes on.
Overview
The Bright Wizard is a master of destruction by magic, and a specialist in fire. Fire is at the heart of their every ability, and indeed at the heart of the Wizard themself. Using the power of Aqshy, the mystical Wind of Fire, they can lay waste to swaths of enemies, or incinerate select foes with white-hot energy. Their magic feeds upon itself, upon the enemy, and upon the Bright Wizard themself. Embracing the fires within their mind, the Bright Wizard themself is engulfed in flame. They direct this inferno against their foes, filling them with searing power until they burst, incinerated by arcane flames so hot they threaten to ignite the air itself.
There are secrets which only the Bright Wizards know; The Seven Keys, arcane talismans and techniques too reckless and destructive for the minds of humanity's High Elf tutors, are mastered by every Bright Wizard and afford them considerable power. Each key lends the Bright Wizard's magic a unique aspect, and all of them expand their power. With their mastery of the magic of fire, and the power of The Keys, their spells burn their foes, and then burn their own magic, combining to create a deadly conflagration.

How To Play
Due to the volatile nature of Aqshy, the Red Wind of Fire that they manipulate, the Bright Wizard is always risking a backlash that could incinerate himself as well as his opponent. This building-up of Aqshy is known as Combustion and and the greater the level of Combustion a Bright Wizard places into his destructive spells the more likely they will explode with stupendous results (critical hit). However even the most skilled wizard will get burned when playing with fire and pushing the combustion level too high will result in a backlash of magical energy that will damage the Wizard himself.
Begin each fight by throwing a large Fireball at your enemy. Follow it up with a quick casting Sear and then an instant Ignite. By this time, Fireball should have finished cooldown, and you can repeat the cycle for anything left alive. When someone gets close to you, cast Fire Cage on them and fall back to get more distance. In RvR, utilize Burning Iron to deal damage and remove valuable action points from the enemy and cast Rain of Fire to deal damage to large groups of enemies. For buffs, make sure to keep Flames of Rhiun and Flame Shield active for yourself and your group. If you are ever desperate for APs, Burnout will provide them at the cost of doing damage to yourself.
Alternatively, if your target is focused elsewhere or fleeing, and the need to kill is not urgent, it may be better to start with Ignite and Boiling Blood, possibly Detonate if the target is particularly tough; as these DOTs can do a hefty sum of damage to most foes, especially other RDPS and healers. Follow this up with a Fireball, and if need be, a Sear. Keep spamming Fireball and Sear, and remember to keep your DOTs up.
