- "A Runepriest can be a difficult foe to defeat. The powerful runes he lays upon himself and his equipment can make him a mighty warrior who is exceptionally difficult to slay. His abilities are primarily defensive or supportive in nature, though, and in a group environment, it is wiser to leave the Runepriest and instead neutralize the heavy damage dealers first. Such targets pose a more direct threat and, if ignored, are likely to tear you apart before you are able to work through the Runepriest's defenses and healing powers."
Overview
Dwarfs don't go in for magic. Unlike Humans and their allies, Dwarfs are extremely resistant to magic, and they are prevented from feeling or manipulating its flow. Runes, on the other hand, are a whole different story.
Runes have an old power. Their carving is a ritual so refined that the results are as predictable as rocks rolling down hill. The keepers of this art are the Runepriests, adepts and sages who spend their lives learning the language and usage of runes. With their craft, they can create effects of stunning power, accosting their foes with the might of the earth itself. They can also harden their allies against the most damaging attacks, as well as heal their wounds.
In a world where magic is commonplace, it may seem that the Runepriest's powers are unremarkable. His runes offer something unique and powerful, though: the ability to bind a rune to an object or creature, which will then unleash its power when triggered by a specific circumstance. A rune-marked blade burns as it strikes, a rune-marked breastplate hardens against a killing blow, and rune-marked flesh awaits a word of command before its healing energies are released.
By marking his allies prior to battle, the Runepriest is free to join the fight where and when he is needed, be it shaping further runes of power, or entering the thick of the conflict with rune staff in hand. It is important to note that runes retain their power even after the Runepriest expires.

How To Play
A powerful healer, the Runepriest is an all-around healer. Depending on his mastery choices, the Runepriest can choose from strong single target heals, massive healing over time, or area effect heals. Supporting this choice, he gets a number of runic buffs that he can apply to his groupmates. These buffs both increase a stat for the target, as well as give him an activated ability to use every couple minutes.
The Runepriest must keep a balance between offense and defense. Before combat starts, be sure to use one of your Oath Runes on each player in your group depending on their personal preference or primary stats. There are three Oath runes to choose from, each based on one of the Rune Priest Career trees. Rune of Restoration is a highly efficient high-value high, but cannot be used while the Runepriest is being attacked. While under attack, healing duties should fall to Grungni's Gift. If your entire group is hurt, Blessing of Valaya will help everyone at once. Offensively, things are simple. Start a Rune of Immolation burning on the target and then nuke away with Rune of Striking. If anyone gets close to you use Rune of Sundering to knock them away.
When fighting in a scenario its best to stick with the backline (the casters and RDPS of the group) where you will be most effective. At the beginning of the scenario put a oath rune on everyone in your party, making sure to give the oath rune best suited to their class. Make sure to re-buff people who have died because the rune will fade with death. When you are running out to meet the enemy in the scenario, quickly place your HOTs on the front line guys just before contact is made. This should hopefully cushion the first blows from the enemy RDPS and allow you a moment to get set up. When you and your group are firmly engaged, place one of your master runes in order to give both yourself and nearby party members a substantial boost. Because your Master rune lasts 30 seconds and has a cooldown of 30 seconds, you have nothing to loose by placing one even if your party moves on before it fades (which should be expected in fast moving scens). Your HOT's should be you primary healing tool, followed by direct heals. If someone starts attacking you while your running about trying to keep the tanks alive, fall back to the main line while placing as many HOT's on yourself as you can and mabey a few Grungni's Gift if your party dosent notice the Whitch Elf on you arse.
